Uttoxeter Swimming Pond

We were asked by Firestone to go in and line this three-sheet pond for a company working on a private estate in Uttoxeter. Time was of the essence – we had the capacity and experience to respond and complete the job, and (it appears) the ability to attract the hardest jobs!

Awfully steep with horrible angles, it took all our staff plus site to hold the liners into place whilst they were welded, to give us as little creases as possible. Overnight was with our friends Whitley Groundworks (see Staffordshire swimming pond) in The Raddle at Hollington whilst morning frost meant a down-tools for breakfast, and return to complete once the sun had done its magic.
